rains fall, rivers rise spring’s arrival is delayed she wears water wings tulips peeking through response to a pre-set time too early for spring daffodils on time expected spring a no show blooms droop in defeat high waters recede undefeated spring arrives muddied but unbowed

I love the way you describe how spring arrives at different times, sometimes it's a "no show" as late as April when snow falls. Great transitional quality from one verse to the next, Joyce. Best wishes for success in the contest! Love, Carolyn
