Yep! Our trouble is stray cats. Despite the crows warning, the "heedless" squirrels dare. I can't condemns the cats, hunting is their nature. Nature can be cruel. Love your Haiku. daver

Those squirrels just love that..I have seen them run down the tree just above the dog and chirp like they are making fun of the dog..Thanks for dropping by..Sara

Setting in the study, Duke and Zoe (my two golden retrievers) stare out the window – hair standing up upon their necks, aghast that a squirrel plays before them. Running back and forth between study window and the front door – growling and barking, besides themselves that this intruder is enjoying the morning looking for acorns! I believe they secretly like it . . . a game. Another day begins.
