On a train journey in Canada, the train stopped in the middle of the wilderness and remained there for a long time. As I sat in a room with a large sealed glass window, I heard a loud thud against the window after which I saw a dead bird on the ground close to the train under the window. I pitied the poor dead bird. It was used to the freedom of the airspace of the wilderness. The stationary train was an unexpected intrusion which cost the poor bird its life. It was very sad.

I love Haiku's-so few words with volumes of meanings. You uniquely showed how death is a natural occurence...shame for that bird that hit the glass pane though lol. -Y.L Ndlovu

Thank you for your comment, Yvette. Since I wrote that piece of haiku a few years ago, I was uncertain whether the meaning would be clear to others but you got it dead on. You made my day!
