Haight Ashbury

The love of Ganesha.... Born upon the branches of the Monterey cypress', ucalyptusly turning leaves Joyfully displayed reflections this retros, predominant vanguards of the times Preceptencies vibrantly rainbowic colours; renditions aside the sea Peace signs embracing the Eastern world of Katmandus, serenities scene.... A spectacular renaissance of Victorianly vaulted venues; splendours Painted hearts upon smiling faces so arrayed amid, these Cathedrals dreams Flowers of divinities delicate epigraph flowing gently through, a totems breeze Upon their way towards the Golden Gate Parks celestial celebrations, wherein The militant Magi meets, the brightened Prince of Peace.... Ribbons and bows of Isalms ideals meshed beneath, a Buddhas tree Adorned by Imagines precursed writings from, Lennons visionary keys These, Egyptian teas with their green leaf beads and Kissing doves of iconics love, less, such still framed ironies.... ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ....Haight Ashbury ~

Intruigued as to where your imagery comes from - delightful and creative use of descriptive language.... I feel much hope beneath your words... and much questioning of what is was and will be... like myself Iknw the mysteries of this world keep the mind alive! Good to see that pen running free! Thanks for your interesting comments... Take care. Anna-Marie.

Interesting write that could be informative for sure...That is if one was interested enough to look up some information or was part of the hippie scene from years ago...The place where hippies went one summer long ago..Opens my mind to question like why did you chose this topic...Sara

sounds like a dream with much royalty within it. elegant colors it must be. makes one ponder on the acts of different dreams we don't always see everyday, unless its asked for. i love this write, dreams never fail to reveal its message, we the dreamers, just have to pull the pieces together. . ~Always&Forever Lynette

Will be holding you to your word to write more often and regularly, John. I've heard of the Haight Ashbury neighborhood with it's beautiful shops, restaurants, etc. What I would love to see with my own eyes are the Monterey Cypress!! They do appear as canopies with their flat tops. Thanks for the comments. Missed you here too. Love, Audrey

I've seen photos of Haight Ashbury that were taken in the '60s and '70s, John. Indeed, the peace signs and retros would be welcome in my world today. Excellent poem, dear John. I did not know a restoration of the area was underway -- thanks for this well-received news. Have a wonderful evening! Love, Carolyn
