Guardian of the Forest
With the grace of a deer,
she walks through the forest.
Bare feet caressing the ground as she steps.
Her long wavy hair is her covering,
as her naked skin glistens in the morning sun.
A crown of moss, sprinkled with pine cone pedals adorns her head.
Eyes, keen as a hawk...yet as soft as dew cradled in the crease of a leaf.
The trees bow their branches as she nears.
She sends out a greeting,
as it echos in all directions,
like the roar of a lion.
A pack of wolves guard her from man,
as she stops to feast on some berries along the way.
All the forest creatures draw near,
as love is sent out from her in all directions, snuffing out fear.
She invites mankind to enjoy her home,
asking only that it be treated with as much love and respect as she...
for she is guardian of the forest.
