Sleep now my little angel, go to sleep Daddy’s here I will never make you weep. I’ll be with you until you are awake, Watching every move, every breath you take. Face so pure, innocent, seems surreal, It takes away the sorrow I conceal. Tiny fingers so delicate to hold, I will protect you until you grow old. You are my pride, my blessing and my joy, I breathe because of you my little boy. You’re the greatest treasure my everything, To keep you safe I would do anything. So close your eyes my Angel, go to sleep, Trust that all these promises I will keep. Right by your side is where I'll always be The last and the first thing you'll ever see.

Wow! It's only been a week since I became a member to this site and already I've been given honor from wonderful poets like you guys! Thank you so much.. It felt good to know that there are people who appreciates your work. I write poems like I'm writing a diary. I never thought I would share it to anyone until I got married.:-) Again, thank you so much specially to laura loo for the contest.
