Grey
A past once treasured, held so dear,
A fleeing thought she wished to stay
Once more the heart sheds a tear.
Change is this lady’s greatest fear,
Now she holds the infinite future at bay
A past once treasured, held so dear.
Others look upon, seeing this as *****,
Dreading the night she seeks only the day
Once more the heart sheds a tear.
Her path is vague, very unclear,
Her vision black and white, blind to the grey
A past once treasured, held so dear.
The fire hunts her, coming near,
She is no longer the warrior, becoming the prey
Once more the heart sheds a tear.
She has uncovered it, she is here,
From the trial some path, she did not stray
A past once treasured, held so dear,
Once more the heart sheds a tear.
