Got Up This Fine Morning

Got Up This Fine Morning By Franklin Price 9/16/2015 Got up this fine morning For me a little late Shortly after seven Long before the stroke of eight Checked to see that all was working Muscles, joints a little sore Yesterday was spent Spring cleaning Going back today for more Even though it is September The nip of Fall is in the air I'm retired in no hurry So Spring cleaning is still there My wife has gently prompted Through the Spring and Summer too I said, “Sweetheart, I'll be right with you Right now there's something else to do” Write poems on my computer Post on my Facebook page See what everyone is doing What's in fashion, what's the rage Go rest in my recliner Watch the TV mindlessly Doesn't matter that it's re-runs As long as there's no work for me You know I'm only kidding Love to do my honey-do s For me there's not another life I love walking in my shoes

Pandita, (again what a great name!) thanks for visiting again. Please come back. I read some of your poems. You also are upbeat and a joy to read.
