Goodbye Lady Friend
For years I provided you with everything I could offer.
While you gave me nothing but doubt and frustration.
Added along with rotten slurs and scars inflicted by others
around you.
But sometimes you did join in...
You once told me that you couldn't be my hero because
heroic beings simply didn't exist.
Yet everyday I took the knife for you without any
appreciation in sight.
Don't get me wrong i don't blame you.
I just expected you would grow into something more over
time...
Maybe that was foolish and immature hope on my part.
Or maybe me falling under the "nice guy" disease again.
I don't know to be honest but I do know I wish not to stress
any longer on this...
I want a hero,
I want an unrealistic lover,
I want a day dreamer that can catch their stars,
I need someone who doesn't stop their light just because
they hear the word "impossible".
This is my desire and my honest craving.
I wish you happiness wherever you go.
It's time for me to experience a smile like I use to before I
met you.
Goodbye and good luck.
I learned a lot from this downfall.
Now when I meet a real angel I'll be better prepared to
cherish and love her like she requires.
