Goodbye Devil

by Michael J Falotico The Devil staged the day.. Directed the horror and disarray.. He sat safe in his chair as the planes took aim.. Thousands died and now a city never the same.. Years have past as the smoke has cleared.. Still too many men and women have un dried tears.. Now the Devil wrapped in a blanket like a broken man.. Sits in front of TV watching himself trek across the sand.. A quiet day the choppers came and knocked on his door.. Now the Devil rots in hell and his terror nevermore..

Hello, Michael! its better if we turn around and leave it all behind... the d-man and his games sends shivers down my spines... ( like the line ) the d-man wrapped in a blanket like a broken man... yes his time will come..*** this is like a lonely silhouetttttt... facing the truth, lets throw it all away and carry on,, anywhere the wind blows,,, and say goodbye,,, take care,..p.d.

Great write Michael. I was in the shadow of those towers when they fell - on the Jersey side of the Hudson - and lost a few good friends. Although I could never cheer the death of any man - having the Devil perish was a relief to me. Well done. Joe

The terror bin Laden caused left so much grief in our hearts, Michael. My debate partner was killed in the 9/11 attack and I have been unable to find his family. Surely their tears have not stopped flowing, nor have mine. You described his life and death in a compelling verse, my friend. Love, Carolyn
