Godspeed

To my husband of 54 years Will you sail with me to a far away land, stand by me when I am alone? Hold me a moment and take my hand, when my task here on earth is done? . We crossed a dessert in storm and rain Together, we conquered life’s task. We stumbled; we fell and got up again. Will we go where we came from? I ask. All doubts and worries tip-toed away. A voice in the still, I heard say: “Don’t be afraid; I was, I am, I will be beside you and guide you, everyday.”
