God's Kind of Poetry
HE sat there silently in the murky void thinking
of creating more magnificent planets like Earth,
but first God wanted to create a radiant light to illuminate
the awesomeness of everything that was worth seeing.
He drew beautiful images on a tablet as a rough draft,
couldn't He had simply said, " Let it be done? "
No, he thought as a human would perfecting His craft,
and His vision was to accomplish all by dawn.
When all his work was finished, He was really pleased,
but something was missing from this creation so perfect:
a night with stars to let the first couple dream as he often did...
so dreams and words became poetry to stimulate their intellect.
Aren't our minds like His mind when it comes to observation?
It may surprise many that God is also a potential dreamer...
that poet that composes verses to praise His own creation
for all angels to read as they surround Him with cheer.
