God Is Not Dead

If God were dead as some dare say, there'd be no answer when I pray. I'd feel no guilt when doing wrong, there'd be no blessing from a song. I'd find no joy in hearing one pray, nor a will to live for another day. On Sunday morning's there would be, no sermon at church for you and me. No heated church or lighted spire there'd be no singers in the choir. I'd have no feeling, no heavenly goal, or no burden for that lost soul. If God is dead who calms my fears? my prayers fall not on deafened ears. Tell me once again, he's dead you say? I choose to think that he's just away.
