God I Do

I want to honest and tell it true
God I do not believe in you
I believe that all kinds of faith just fail
Hurt and help life to derail

Of Satan I must say the same
He will not lead me to the end game
No heaven above me no hades below
Yet I live my life with a happy glow

As I think of what my father once said
Makes more sense than things religious led
Do no one a bad turn and show some respect
They may do you a good turn, not you reject

I try to live life with tolerance for all
I know some reading this will want to call
Me all sorts of names and deny my feelings
As their love for god is oh so appealing

I do not think their wrong to have their belief
I am sure at some times it gives them relief
For me it simply is not the way to go
I just want this out so that they all will know

No devil no god no heaven no hell
No pagan idols no toll of the bell
When I go I will take with me what I brought
To dust ashes scattered, taken with me nought
