God for Granted

God for Granted

 I always remember when I was afraid
 I would not receive a passing grade;
 My mind would remain like a kid
 And all of my poems would be putrid.

 But try I must and always will
 For their are many wishes to fulfill;
 Want to write poems liked by all
 And no one ever would they appall.

 My help for you will be here
 And forget about your each fear
 Ability by God in us was planted;
 Don't ever take God for granted.

 These are the two first lines I like
 in a poem that I just wrote this very
 second. Jim Horn
