God Colored Glasses

I guess I must be well equipped With glasses colorized by God It seems I see Him everywhere Instead of blocking light like Polaroids Somehow my lenses always show He’s there It might be simply rainbow’s beauty, Or path that leads to safety in a storm A song that builds on what I know Or when the chill of winter blows A smile that helps to keep me warm. The armor of His Word protects us From almost all world’s foolishness I have to see it with my heart And thus receive it as a gift, And not an anchor with no part In dreams that He would share with me. In service is a kingdom gained Whose value shines like Calvary With opportunities to make Him proud New miracles are entertained. Oh don’t you see you’re family Your darkest thoughts absolved by grace A greater mystery still waits for you For though we all are born in sin In Christ you are His brother too. Continued sin your only pain Your stubborn will what hurts inside The love you’re missing certain gain Before you stands the open door Where life and joy both coincide.
