Giant Monsters

GIANT MONSTERS giants wake from their sleep rolling out of safety's keep and pain makes them feel so alive they open their eyes see all wastelands arise And pain makes them feel so aware dancing as flames flare bright eyes fixed in glare And pain makes them feel so free from all truth they flee running out to sea And pain dies with liberating cries © Kim van Breda—March 2014

Pain has many enriching assests, heightens our senses and consciousness, but it can be a distration from truth as well, make shun joy, Im a damned masochist myself, but I know the power of love to. Great metaphysics in this write. J.A.B.

Thank you Cathy-- one of those 'left of center' poems, but we need them amongst all the romance and roses I guess.

I actually thought they deserved running into the sea to die, but then again I may be wrong ;) Thank you for your ongoing support and comments.

Thanks Louise for your compliment. This is one of my 'weirder' metaphorical pieces, but a change from all the happy-- light--- romantic perfection I guess.
