Get Out, Go Away

Did you not think I would weep, When I heard you sigh and say, I just can't love you that way? Your words, razor sharp, cut deep. Only pride kept my tears at bay. You were a complete ass today You made promises you won't keep. Said you would never stray, And would kiss me every day. I'm hurt, heartsick and can't eat, The world is dark and gray. My trust you did betray. Now that I know you're a creep, No way in hell can you stay. Get out of my sight, just go away. Not a word! Not a peep! No hugs, not even a wave! I will not cave!

You have penned an excellent poem, showing realization of betrayal and how some manipulate others. I hope that this is all fiction and creative inspiration and not any real life happening my friend. A7

Thank you Robert. Not fiction ... happened in the 70's with first husband. And, I'm the one that actually left.

A real emotive write, Missy. You captured the angst and anger of one betrayed. A belated welcome to Poetry Soup! I hope you enjoy it here. We need real poets like you who are not afraid to start with their own creations, not stolen ones. hugs!
