G'Day Mate
Have you ever had your socks knocked off
It happened to me today
After thirty long years a sweetie from the past
Emerged and blew me away
She's been out my life for a long long while
But never been out of my heart
One of those friends you remember forever
Wish we never did part
Happenings in our life will dictate the path
We really don't have a say
But what always remains are the memories
With us till our dying day
Her name is Liz but I called her Elizabeth
Very regal much like a Queen
There aren't any words to describe her beauty
Such beauty is rarely seen
A real sweetie from the land down under
A true Aussie all the way
With that Aussie charm, that inner beauty
Once more, she's blown me away
G'day Mate!
