Gatekeeper

with every passing moment I think of you in every waking hour I long for your taste the memories haunt me but I love feeling this way with every rose comes a thorn in every night the darkness overcomes for now ill drift off to sleep but I know I’ll never dream of anything else you were my Annabel Lee and I was the gatekeeper to your garden underneath the fabric of time there is always a myriad of things good as well as bad the raven calls out my name at the fourth hour of every night then come the eyes that follow my every move I cower at the thought that they're watching me for I know that they know I'm guilty at heart I cannot help but be thankful for time it gives me the chance to replace the hearts I have stolen but I know that with every success there comes a failure so I fear for my peace of mind I will never be forgiven so I will not deny it when I’m dragged to the pits of despair and I know I will find you there
