Fun In the Snow
I watched a leaf float to the ground with a snow flake close behind
while chimney smoke rose gently into the sky.
Gazing out my window as autumn waved goodbye winter sauntered in again
with it's cold and frigid guise.
I sat there thinking of the days to come
and how winter will change the way we have fun.
Baseball is replaced by snow ball fights and hiking boots with skiing.
Making a snow angel is fun swimming is too. But it's hard
to see your child's joy when you paddle thru a pool.
We run in the rain, we walk in the snow.
Yes winter changes the way we have fun.
So as winter saunters in again with it's cold and frigid guise
be excited not sad for new ways to have fun will soon fill up our lives.
