Frozen Hearts

Two people trapped in a wood Where the sun waits too long to rise One holds flint, the other steel Sadly any thoughts of survival Are clouded by despise Their bodies grow cold As the snow continues to blow But neither their shivers, nor their coats Can warm their hearts Save their souls Frost bitten fingers Leave stubborn minds unchanged Woefully their ire lingers Prejudice blinds them to the pain The only thing that can warm them now Is brimstone and hellfire Together on a throne they’ll sit In the devil's fiery empire
