From Afar

We can still see Her distant Glory which shimmers from our past When God was the center of our story and the shadow we cast All the great things we achieved and the trials that we overcame We were a land that believed, being lead by Lady Liberty's Flame But the shine has been taken away and the lusters no longer there For to God we no longer pray and for His Name we no longer care So blessed for so long His Amazing Grace was always self evident But it is God they now try to replace being the new message sent And as I turn back and look seeing the last of Her glowing flame satan can be such the crook in putting all of humanity to shame Wondering ahead in so leaving behind, Her Light no longer aglow Once with God we were well aligned, "but hey what did they know" Where once His great Light was Shone from it we now turn away Many say that we have grown and so as in Eve they also betray For now she is but darkness having no sense at all of His Light Man will only make all a mess for only God is Perfect and Right
