Freedom

Freedom. What does that mean? What is freedom to me? What has freedom seen? For what has freedom died? Why has freedom cried? What has freedom been through? Nothing has freedom denied. Freedom has done all to prove this truth. Men and women in this war are proving what they're fighting for. They have given their lives. Sacrificed for their husbands and wives, friends and families, children nationwide, All for the sake of freedom's cause. Let's proudly join their side. Let's stand and give them applause! Note: This was part of a poem I wrote about 10 years ago. It was published in a anthology - Celebrate! Young Poets Speak Out Summer 2007 edition.
