Free To Be Me
The richness you see in
ME
Is not a
MISTAKE
It was meant for
ME
Before this time
And
This place
It was given to
ME
Every negative thought
You try to put on
ME
Every obstacle
That you throw in my
PATH
Will never materialize because
I was before you could ask
Who is SHE?
And
Why is she HERE?
Before my father caressed my mother’s breast
I WAS
Before my first crush
love
And husband
I WAS
Before the formation of my hips
The skin tone on my backbone
I WAS
You fail to understand
I have yet to become who
I’m DESTINED to be
Freedom to be
ME
Is what matters to
ME
Fear is what
You feel when you look at
ME
Doubt is your remedy
That you try to feed
ME
Because the richness you see in
ME
Because the richness
That was given to
ME
The richness
You HATE because
I AM FREE TO BE
ME
