Free Indeed
He wasn't figuring that what he thought was his own
All the things he ever sought and what he has known
Everything he achieved and the family he had raised
In all that he believed and all the things that amazed
He wasn't counting on being wrong, thinking he's right
This he felt strong only seeing what was within his sight
For along this man went always standing on his two feet
Unknowing what it all meant so he went on only to repeat
He had all of his proof tucked deep inside his own mind
As the wicked one will spoof to devour the lost he finds
Leading his entire family to what he thought was best
Neither could they see or know about one being blessed
He knew that He was Blessed in all of the things he knew
Ever sensing in each test, well that wasn't something new
And in so leading as such His Footprints were easy to see
For this man never lost touch with what had kept him free
John 8:36
If the Son therefore shall make you free,
ye shall be free indeed.
