Foster World

My view of this life
is empty and alone
no place of warmness
no permanent home.
New families
always a new mom and dad
living in fear
thinking of what i had.
Its all gone now
my friends, my life
living with this heartache
living with this strife.
I want to go home.

Tragic but greatly written. I brought a young man into my home so he would not have to go into the system to be tossed about. My son's best friend and now a part of our family. A true part of our family. Sadly, his parents didn't care enough to even notice he was gone for two weeks. They seemed content to know he was here... had even expected it... His mother tried to kick him out of our house so she could move in...in his place. It was very sad. But he's happy now.
