Forgotten Love, So Deeply Regretted

Forgotten Love, So Deeply Regretted After the fire has burned very low, the shadows move with sinister look, You see the place you fear to go think of the truest lover you forsook; Did not that Love manifest its worth, a touch that reached your needy soul, Embraced your heart giving a rebirth, remove that all too heavy deadening toll; And sleep within your dreams a delight, golden kiss wrapped in softest touch The greatest Lover never given sight As you so loved yourself far too much. Robert J. Lindley OCT, 14TH 1979 Note: Bringing this out from my private journal to see the light of day. Hope you may enjoy it as I remember being very sad when writing it. Only one other ever saw it(a copy), sent it back with tear stains on it but took no action. Such is life, we win some , we lose some..

Hey Robert, stopped by for a visit. This is a heart rending piece told in such a deeply sobering way. How wonderful and blessed you are though to have found a wonderful person to fill any voids that may have been left open. Be Blessed, Neva

So very true. I look back at the forks taken in that long road and thank God even for the sad events and lost loves. For all that eventually brought me to my wife now and to our having our son. Thanks Vera, never hurts to be reminded of the blessing a great wife always is! I suspect Peter will vouch for that as he often enough has told me in private about just how great you are and how lucky he is to have you.

Great lines with majestic eloquence.. Your meandering of words still did not prevent your peice from giving out its message. This is an absolute 7!
