Forgiveness
Your word, preaches forgiveness
I want you to know I’ve tried
But how can I forgive you Lord?
When all those I’ve loved have died
Mother, father, husband, best friend
You stole them all from me
Broke my heart, time after time Lord
Gave years of pain, and misery
When I see others, with their loved one’s still
I long to know, why they’re so blessed
Why choose me to play death’s game Lord?
Was it some kind of test?
If so, I think you can say I’ve passed
For I’m still here, standing strong
Whatever you have planned for me next Lord?
I’m ready – just bring it on
The pain locked inside, will give me strength
To play your game, as long as I live
So ask, whatever you want of me Lord
Just don’t ask me to forgive!
