For Mother

Exhausted rest from labors prayer Bathed in sweat of joy Answered with angelic child Unblemished healthy boy Humming a dulcet lullaby With whispers of tomorrow Promises of undying love Through tears of bliss and sorrow Contentedly sleeping, motionless Loves' warm security Hushed first dream of naivete Such innocent purity Dawn opens futures' brightened door Eyes wide and clear of cloud As manger breaks, simplicity escapes And wrinkles mother's brow an original poem by the "poemdog" Daniel Turner for my mom

Thank you, Linda. Unfortunately, that is the roughest part. All kinds of pain for years to come, reason being when they hurt you hurt too.

I lost my mother many years ago. She was the sweetest mom who ever lived. I sense the same sweetness coming from a happy child's heart that yearns for maternal protection and tenderness. Thank you Daniel for your kind comment. It's always a pleasure to hear from you.Take care of your dog, " Buddy. " Have a terrific Monday. Warmest Regards, Andrew.
