Ubiquitous Smiles
Pastel panels of color,
like cobbled bricks of sunlight
pave the walk with abstract art.
And the artist's brilliant brush
encapsulates a hallmark
moment, where beauty prevails.
Oranges and blues commingle,
as a mix of sun and sea
collaborate on each hue.
Its familiarity
warrants a much closer look,
drawing you into the scene.
Canopies of skittish leaves,
cast mobile freckles of shade
amidst beams of dancing light.
Nostalgia paints pleasantries
long thought to be forgotten,
and restores their enchantment.
And placidity’s achieved,
amidst the sounds of laughter
and the ubiquitous smiles.
