First Encounter
Look at a stranger and what do you see
Are they skinny, fat or dressed to the tee
Be tall or short or somewhere in between
At church, work, or play, someone never seen.
First encounters are when judgments are made
You may discover your loneliness fade
So look in their eyes and give them a smile
If you are lucky they’ll stay for a while.
Sharing your thoughts you will open your soul
A connection will form, that is your goal
A bond begins to take shape, feelings grow
This could be your soulmate, you never know.
