Fire Canyon

Fire Canyon 2/3/12 Down Deep in the depths of the rocky desert floor there resides a force fierce yet menacing smoldering ashes hot, red devil. Crescent moon overhead illuminates the midnight scene giving light hope that the previous days events will be forgotten, lost in the shadows. Men with intent evil had dwelled in this angry hot land not so long ago devising plans cowardly purely selfish in nature, rewarding themselves only. Why? When? How? Did these callous individuals gain access to power undeniable slashing all in their path violently, Can they be stopped? Once honor did reside here in the land where buffalo once roamed plentiful a time of peace decency spoke loud, people proud dignified. Time goes on without hesitation immune to happenings before her, love or hate, good or evil makes no difference as life wanders into the darkness. Climbing up from the destruction below earnestly, gentleman of known regard emerges onto the canyons rim smiling with hope, Strength regained now. Will love and decency overcome the hostile intentions of greed’s insidious touch? Men, Women must try, instill kindness when able conqueror minions unseen, lurking. To wash away all that has been touched when dreams become nightmares in daylight if only for a short time, grab my hand I will lead the way back home. Breezes blow softly calling us to slow our pace feel nights calming presence as lighting cracks in the distance, hearts united peace is found upon the gentle wind. © 2012 David J. Mitchell
