Farewell

Today is one, fateful moment--- But somehow time took a long while When our pledge brought us together--- Into ties that did bind When wrapped so closely we were as one, Joined together under northern sun Your meadow now-it brings a tear To my eye, As the lilting light of remembrance Makes me cry.
