Faces of Loneliness
The face of loneliness is hidden by a mask
A mask of smiles and laughter
What can not be seen by the naked eye only few know
That the face of loneliness is bottled inside
The face of loneliness can take many shapes
From the shy girl in the corner
To the one with the most friends
The least suspecting people are just the ones who hide it the best
The face of loneliness banging to come out
But you keep it trapped inside of you like a prisoner
A prisoner locked in a small, dark room
You keep it in for so long you don't know what's true
The face of loneliness is hidden by a mask
A mask that very few can see past
But when one sees past it and opens up what no one else has
The face of loneliness is cracked
Like a mirror shattered on the floor
And you don't feel so lonely anymore
