Eyes of My Heart
Eyes of my heart,
walking slowly toward me
dressed in crimson,
your movements both awkward and
choreographic,
distilled to an essence of intimacy
in the echo chambers of the erotic,
an inviolate space of possibility,
joining one another in a zone
deeper than breath.
It couldn’t be any other way.
