Eyes of a Child

In the eyes of a child what do we see? It’s the innocence of an age long forgotten. It’s the trust that comes with unconditional love. It’s the wisdom of enjoying life to its fullest. It’s the resilience that we wish we still had. It’s the potential we’ve been convinced we longer have. It’s the simple knowledge of rights and wrongs, Without the shaded gray areas we create. What do you see in the eyes of a child? The wisdom we seek after, The knowledge we long for, Might be found in the last place we all think to look. Does a child really possess such power? Do most adults ever take the time to look?
