Eris
Starlight for the deception of Love flutters a mischievous discord
Unknown to puppets easily misled to slaughter.
All is fair when war is love, and Eris caresses oceans deep.
All ravish the night, only to flee as marionettes
Into my arms of solace from a plain of strung hearts carried
by the manic, palpable laughter of my cousin Chaos.
Eris
You send me the living, and I cherish your broken dolls forever.
Shunned and praised by those who claim to hate you
Find in their minds a harmonious duet with your toying grin.
For family and foes, we dual and dance, as children of Time applaud and gasp.
Chaos, my dear, you dwindle in the light, and fade to all but a thought.
A dangerous romance for Love, treacherous and greedy.
The nature of your spirit may be a temptation for the gods,
for the exhilarating laugh of a puppeteer wakes
in its audience the buried conscience of war and feigned glory.
Come, lay beside me, and rise again with the moon.
Your cousin
Death
