Eric the Troll

Eric the troll was a lonely old soul who lived in a deep and dark hole. He would only come out when he had not a doubt the sun had slipped down below. He liked to go thieve in the dark of the eve but never his goal could he ever achieve. So he raided the village and plundered and pillaged and frightened the good people to leave. One night he was walking or rather was stalking when he came upon a rickety bridge. He looked down the way and spotted his prey and under the bridge he did sway. Stop where you stand did his harsh voice demand and the traveler froze with a start. It is a toll you must pay to then be on your way or else I shall dine on your heart. A gold coin I demand or you will die where you stand so throw it down under to pay. The man had no coin but soon he was joined by brothers of knightly array. They then ended the troll and threw him down in his hole and tis there he remains to this day.
