Entwined

Entwined In pure love entwined the knittings of a mother, Through icy cold winds embrace child's subtle being, As warmth shows on rosy cheeks. Tanka- 5/7/5/7/7 Written Feb 12th, 2016 For poetry contest "Entwined" by Broken wings Entered in "One old or new tanka poetry contest" by Rick Parise

i Dr. Upma, firstly, congratulations on your win. I have started to look more at different forms now, the smaller forms, for now i can see the skills of the poet within them. In these few lines there is heart, The lives of a child and mother ever entwined. This is a well written Tanka, had to be on the winning list. A seven, for i do feel the Love as i read.
