Enlightenment

So many people are out smelling the flowers... Hope some planting them. Pluck not the flower Let it be the delight of other travelers Flowers in morning tell us to look up always and not to look down By plucking petals impossible to gather.... fairness and fragrance Fairness and fragrance always will stay in the hand that gives to someone I asked a flower, “What is the meaning of life?” opened empty hands. +++ August 14, 2014 Form Haiku (Syllables Total 102- (6 by 17) Dr. Ram Mehta Contest: Enlightenment by marvin celestial

This poem is worthy of the highest praise and awards. Well done, Dr. Ram! I'm including it on my favorites list. Also, you commented recently on my Haiku "A Change of Address" And you said it gave you a laugh. That's good, but the true meaning of that poem was lost on you and others I've shared it with who thought I did not respect the dead and their resting place. Not true! Please read the notes I've added to that poem. And you will discover the true biblical meaning I intended. :)

Congrats on the top finish Dr. Ram. I think the last Haiku should stand on its own as it seem to me to be diminished by the descriptions preceding it.

Beautiful images reminds me when I was young I would not pick flowers because I wanted others to enjoy them a well. Now I am older and if I pick a flower, I do so rarely and still with the thought of those who walk the path after me. Congratulations on this worthy win!
