Endings
Ever read a book or see
A movie or a play
And be disappointed that
The story ends a certain way?
It’s easier, so it appears,
To get the action started
Than to end it, for so many endings
Seem to be half-hearted.
But in truth, is life not just the same?
For birth starts out so strong
But when Death shows up to end it all,
It always feels so wrong.
