Empty Castle
Silence seems my only comfort,
a loner in this world I stand
going only where i'm welcome
doing only what I can
to make my life lived
spent with meaning
still thoughts of caution
fear the feeling
of knowing I have been undone.
If ever I should lose myself
may it not be to isolation
but may it be to who you are
a gift given,and I have taken.
Let your heartbeat hammer
till the fall
of these cruel and coldstone
castle wall's
surrounding me at every turn
a lonely lesson life to learn.
im responsible for what I've done
none else should take the blame
but though i be accountible
may guilt not be all that remains
but also your welcoming heart
that tells me of a latter time
when these walls are nothing
but a remnant
of a lone kings reighn,
until his queen ascended
and made what was an empty space
a home at heart, a loving place.
