Embrace the Lines

Embrace the lines of your life. If you are a loving wife. Never let your thoughts stray. To a love from bygone days. When at work know your place. Never speak out just in case. Your boss may feel undermined. Then perhaps treat you unkind. If a mother, devote your time to making sure your kids are fine. Put your own needs last not first. As you did before the birth. Embrace the lines of your life. Settle in, no need for strife. If you can adjust to your place, peaceful contentment you will taste.

Same applies to husbands. My mother did embrace lines also but the chalk dust was in the air from time to time. There is room for choices and talents to be fed. Perhaps too much put on women to cook all of the time. I was Early childhood teacher for 30 years. Wrote book "suffer the little children'' sample chapter on Poetry soup classifieds. Feel in some ways women have less choice today. Work outside home almost compulsory. Any relationship 100 percent each not 50/50 Fondest Regards David

I see I got number 7 David in the contest David. I am so pleased. Funny, I would consider myself a femimist. I proposed to my husband then kicked him out when he mistreated me. My daughters see me as a strong independant woman, and by breast feeding them until they were two, I have ensured they have a high IQ.
