Elvis Has Not Left the Building
I saw Elvis the other day
I said hi and he said hey
We walked together down a street
Stood outside Sun studios
He talked about a record deal
It was all so surreal!
A pink Cadillac appeared next to me
We drove the quiet sun filled streets
Walked up to Graceland he did with me
There was nobody else anywhere around
He made a drink and we sat down
I asked him what he was doing now
He smiled and told me he was free
I asked about his life and he
Spoke some words to me
Words I can't explain he said to me
Then I had to leave, I shook his hand
Walked away from Graceland back down a sreet
I woke up to hear a tune
Crying in the chapel humming somewhere in another room
It was so surreal
I managed to get back to sleep
Then something strange that had never happened to me
I went straight back to the same dream
I walked into a coffee shop
Heard a tune to the right of me
I turned to see and couldn't believe
Elvis was sat there next to me.
