Eliot Phrasis Quartet Recited Part 1

ELIOT PHRASIS 1 Languid among the trees and feathery grass, the all embracing sky, stirring smoke of autumn days.Fear and trembling predominates over hope, where memories of past incidents may pass as history. Then, exquisite truth and delicacy touches this heart and sprinkles precious grains of tenderness and calm.In a triumph of human goodness emotion blends everything into harmony.Sweet piety beaming kindness loses this sense of a separate self, recognising polite insincerity active as imagination. From George Eliot Journal& Letters 1885 Listen to me read this phrasis quartet on youtube under my pen name ichthyschiro
