El Presidente O Naturale

Another murder, excuse, excuse... another justification- of that excuse, demeaning life to a singularity- as meaningless as the air. However I find the air important- it keeps us living, our lungs throbbing, our drive to live, kept alive. Wearing a uniform, empowers- someone to justify their ends- ...and to define who lives and dies. However I don't remember electing them- or asking them to make such distinctions. A uniform is just a fabric, however it is the only fabric mightier- then a gun and renders the wielder- immune to murder prosecution. Perhaps we should start electing the naked to office.

Oh, this is very wise, Michael. Give people uniforms and guns and they sometimes think they are above reproach. It would be fun to see the emporer without his clothes before putting him in charge of a country. Deception is everywhere and we just don't see it. Excellent statement in your poem. Love, Carolyn

There's a whol lot to ponder in this write, Michael..we live in an unjust world. We claim to be so intelligent but we only kid ourselves. Thanks for helping us think about this...Peace, Love, Audrey

Hi Michael I think your poetry is great.A very strong subject and alot of emotion tied up in your words. There's alot of injustice in the world. If I feel totally powerless because there is absolutely nothing I can do,then I just focus on my own corner, try to do the right thing, and as we are each a part of the whole-who knows?Thank you for sharing these words,it is good to have food for thought.- I like the humorous ending by the way.Quells anger. luv June(Sylvia)
