Duality

Duality Thy day is filled with echoes of olden times, Shadows of pain. I watch the skylark climb Into sun above the golden grain. One thou loveth for that he wrote his dream In blood , then died. My joy is, it doth gleam Even among the sweet flowers of summer-tide. Yet thou and I are he that now doth write, Of ancient seed, deep-rooted, dark and light, Sheltering good and evil at their need. R. J. Lindley Note-- Written long ago.... when still young and inspired.

That is very cool, as in positive and warm, thus heartfelt. I admit, this is the first Classicism poem I read. My Shakespeare I suppose are Brecht Heine and Goethe, because of my German descent. Thank you for this poem, I must get into the real English Classics. Many wishes, Kai

Yes, as witnessed by its massive embrace by the poetry community here, huh? You, my good friend, see far more clear than the many.. Sad to me, when modern poetry has relegated such to be viewed as an inferior product and so many look upon writing in this form as antiquated and not worthy... AH, WELL- proof that the eye of the beholder must first be able to see clearly if one hopes not to fall off the cliff..
