Drowning In Doubt
It feels like I'm drowning
In an ocean of doubt
I'm reaching out for you
But everyone is pushing me down
Hope
It seems so far away
Dreams
Are never here to stay
When all our morals are gone
We keep singing this song
Chasing the American Dream
While love's fading through the seam
It feels like I'm drowning
In an ocean of doubt
I'm reaching out for you
But everyone is pushing me down
I want to believe in the fairy tale
But life is such a painful trail
Love means everything to me
Dreaming of how it used to be
Hope
It seems so far away
Dreams
Are never here to stay
It makes me sick to say
Divorce is just another way
Marriage was a dream come true
Now it's just for the benefit of you
It feels like I'm drowning
In an ocean of doubt
I'm reaching out for you
But everyone is pushing me down
Until we truly know how to love
When men treat women like a dove
And bring our hearts back to faith
God's love just may be too late
I want to believe in the fairy tale
But life is such a painful trail
Love means everything to me
Dreaming of how it used to be
