Drifting Petals

Wind swept petals drift on the tide
Their floating beauty without design
Gentle voices softly blend with mine
Pink petals for the tears we cried

Ritual helps to comfort the grieving
Blowing petals of the sweet rose
Prayers help bring this time to a close
A tangible sign of a heart's believing

Your use of enclosed rhyme was very well done, Barbara, and though a brief poem, one could feel the sentiment in every line, all of which were beautifully expressed. Carl.
